A Golden Demo is a technological demo that cannot be seen anywhere else, so it’s unique. A Golden Demo illustrates the benefits of the project. It shows what The Netherlands are capable of in multimedia technology, but (implicitly) also what isn’t working yet.
The ten Golden Demos give a good impression of the quality of the work measured against the international competition. They also give an impression of the impact multimedia technology has on products and services, economically as well as socially. Many Golden Demos are introduced with a video presentation. In some cases the Golden Video is the Golden Demo.
